The Grammy® nominating process has begun for this year, and 2 of my projects are under consideration in 2 different categories – My album of ambient electronica and piano called “Transitions” (New Age) and the uptempo EDM/IDM/Electro single called “Push Pull” (Dance/Electronic). Markeprang is the name I chose as my experimental/ambient avatar. This release is a rich exploration of acoustic elements and delays and pure synthetic tones and sounds. From the slow, rhythmic breathing beauty of “Starfish Parade” to the rippling pixelated energy of “Pinned Stars”, to the lush cinematic world of “Bird Cricks”, this is deeply emotional and inventive music, establishing new sonic landscapes.
