One winter a few years ago I got a case of pneumonia. While recovering, I was inspired to write these pieces. Friends helped me to rehearse and record this album of piano music – a lifelong dream come true.
Recorded March 30 and April 3, 2009 at Skywalker Sound, Marin County, CA
Only natural reverberation of the hall was used.

Microphones: 3 pair stereo. Close mics: AKG 414EB through a Brent Averil Neve 1272; Mid mics: Sennheiser MKH800; Far mics: Sennheiser MKH80, both mid and far pairs sent through Millennia Media HV-3D mic pres. Recorded digitally, 24bit, 88.2 khz.
